What Is An Outlook Add-In and Which Version Do I Want?

An Outlook add-in is a program or utility that installs itself into Outlook and extends Outlook's features. An add-in only runs when Outlook is running and is perfect for the user who has Outlook always open on his desktop. When IdentaPop Pro is installed as an add-in, there is a slight speed improvement when searching or popping contacts but it is really only noticeable with the first lookup after startup. After that both versions perform about the same.

When IdentaPop Pro standalone version is installed it will never miss a call even if Outlook is not running because it still hooks into Outlook's database and can pop contacts when needed.


Note: IdentaPop Pro should be uninstalled before installing the Add-In version or else errors can occur if both are run at the same time.
